Harmonia’s LiquidApps, already proven in creating thousands of user interfaces (UIs) for the Navy, is being used in this Phase I project to help the Army reduce training costs and improve warfighter effectiveness. These benefits are the result of UI designs that are consistent across platforms. New platforms are easily integrated into LiquidApps through its meta-model, so designers can use artwork and graphical effects specific to a platform, yet insure the behavior and logical layout matches other platforms.
The graphical editing environment in LiquidApps allows a subject matter expert to design UIs, including definition of basic UI behavior, without writing code. Code is automatically generated for programmers to refine into final applications. Standards are enforced through style sheets and reusable parts inventories.
