We at Harmonia believe we have a responsibility to the communities in which we operate and to the world in general. In the end, we are all part of this giant family we call humanity. Just like delivering measurable impact, giving back and doing our share in making our world a better, more equitable place to live is a part of our DNA as well. Since our inception, we have supported several local, national and international organizations that focus on making the lives of the underprivileged a little bit better.
We are corporate sponsors of The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC) Veterans Employment Initiative, which seeks to accelerate Veterans’ transition to civilian life by providing better employment opportunities within Virginia’s technology community. It’s our way to salute our Veterans, to say thanks for their service, and to honor the long and continued privilege of developing innovative technology solutions for the Department of Defense – where our journey started.
We are also funding women in leadership and government programs at premiere educational institutions such as Georgetown University. As a woman-owned and managed company, our commitment to gender equality in our workforce is absolute and complete.
We also support international initiatives focused on health, hygiene and children’s education, in particularly the girl-child, in third-world countries through organizations such as Rotary International and Pratham. It is our way of honoring the various ethnicities and cultural backgrounds of our team.
And, we don’t just stop there. We also encourage each of our team members to give back individually, by matching the contributions they make to philanthropic causes. In 2016 alone, we donated more than $150,000.00 to philanthropic causes. And each year, beating the number from the previous year isn’t just a target – it’s a commitment.
